  3. Exactly — an eMerchant has got nothing to lose and a lot to gain. Only the disreptuable merchant would not sign up. Consumers are beginnning to look for ways to authenticate how an online business will behave based on real world experiences of other customers. Hopefully, consumers will only patronize eMerchants that are willing to show thier ratings. If not, a consumer should wonder why not and shop somewhere else.
